Sam B.
When things get a little overwhelming for me I like to slow everything down. First thing I do is get off social media. Second thing I do is put on some of my favorite music or try to find some new music.. it’s so easy to do these days and it usually takes my mind off whatever it is that’s bothering me at the time. I also like to go for a run. Any kind of exercise as tame as it may be makes me feel so much better. These are pretty generic answers but it works for me almost every time. It also always helps me to talk about my feelings. Men especially struggle with this and the day I decided to stop trying to carry the world and my feelings/problems on my shoulders alone was the day things started to get a lot easier for me. It helped me with my anger and my anxiety knowing I wasn’t alone and I think everyone should be encouraged to share their problems no matter how silly they think they might be.. the little things add up and it’s so liberating and essential to get it off your chest.
